A space to be able to talk and to feel heard.
A space to put aside all the everyday calls on both of your time and energy.
A space to build supportive relationships that can boost self love, confidence and creativity
A space to discuss past, painful events in the present or worries about the future, stopping you from enjoying life
Time for Us, Time for Me
“We deserve so much more than what we are going through.”
“We are worth so much more than the negative messages. We want to feel excited, energised and alive.”
“We want a different outcome.”
“We need to create some space. A space where we can explore all we are experiencing.”
“We need someone to talk to.”

The Therapeutic Space
You are giving yourselves the time to explore what is going on and find your path.
You are using the time in your own way and at your own pace to examine those areas causing you both concern.
My role is to assist you in finding your own answers and solutions that are unique to you and your experience, to realise your own potentiality.

Let's Talk About You
Who are you?
Who have you become?
How did you get here?
What would you like to change?
What would it look like?
Where do you go from here?

Your space to explore and discuss what's going on for you.
You might be feeling anxious and vulnerable, wondering where this journey may take you.
“It’s too late. It’s unfixable.”
“The idea of talking to someone feels silly or pointless.”
“It’s broken, and no amount of talking can fix it.”

Therapeutic Relationship
The therapeutic relationship is founded on unconditional positive regard, empathy and genuineness.
It is underpinned by the belief that we are shaped by our experiences and predispositions on every level.
When enabled and empowered, we can experience growth, maturity and self-actualisation.
My presence introduces a third perspective into the dynamic, creating space for what happens between you to be noticed, explored and discussed.

Why Work With Me
I have over 35 years’ experience in the support sector, including the Probation Service and public and voluntary organisations, supporting individuals with complex needs in a wide range of settings.
I have been in private counselling practice since 2006, offering both short and longer-term counselling.
I also work with couples, attending to each person’s individual experience and the dynamic within the relationship.
My experience includes anxiety, depression, mental health difficulties, addiction, homelessness, diagnosed and undiagnosed ADHD and autism, trauma and abuse, and the impact of difficult or controlling environments.
I have been an advocate for adult survivors of institutional child sexual abuse and an Approved Foster Carer for Avon Social Services.
My experience has shown me that individuals rarely fall into a single category and often need a holistic approach that considers the wider context of their lives.
I hold a Professional Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, alongside qualifications in Housing and Development, teaching, Anatomy & Physiology and Reiki.
My continuing professional development includes trauma-informed practice, suicide intervention, attachment and loss, sexual abuse, safeguarding, mental health, CBT, motivational interviewing, pregnancy and infant loss, and working with diversity and cultural awareness.
